Hi everyone,
I recently recorded a webinar with Brittany Lynch, who’s an expert at traffic and conversions, and in particular using Facebook for niche marketing. You can watch the replay of the webinar at the link below. The strategies you’ll learn about in this webinar are great for affiliate marketing and also for products owners. I’m personally implementing some of these tactics myself soon.
==>Facebook Niche Marketing Webinar<==
The webinar is well worth watching, as there is some very practical tips on,
- How to pick a hot niche market
- How to build an email list using Facebook
- How to laser target customers interested in your offers for max conversions.
- How to build a niche profit system that generates residual income.
…and loads more.
Virtually the entire webinar is practical examples, and the live audience gave a lot of great feedback, so make sure you check it out.
I’m personally using the system that Brittany (the presenter) teaches, and am following her advice for a new niche that I have just entered, as I can see the power of this strategy, and want to diversify away from as much SEO. I encourage you to do the same, as if your only traffic method is SEO, then its not smart, as Google have too much control, and also what you’ll learn in this webinar gets results WAY faster than SEO does anyway!
Hi Matt,
This is really very interesting. But do you have a better copy of the video? The sound is choppy. I don’t know if it’s only me who’s experiencing this.. Just want you to know.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark
Sorry that’s the only version of the video. I seem to hear it ok when I play it back

Matt,
How legit is he claim of more than $10K p/mth?
I attended this seminar and I am watching this video again now. I confess that I’ve learnt a lot.
But the claim of making over $100 K p/mth from this facebook pages strategy is really, really one tall one.
I went to her facebook profile, checked her pages and from what I can see only a few were made pre-2012.
Some have high number of likes, but I can’t see any places where she puts her affliate link. So where does she make her sales?
An example
http://www.facebook.com/ultimatewowguides
I would believe it if she says she makes $1k or $2k p/mth using this her technique, but over $100k? From the pages I saw I have to say I have hard time believing.
What say you?

Hi Iskandar
I can’t prove any of the claims of income, so I don’t want to say either way, but I do know that the stuff Brittany teaches is effective, but i would not expect you to make $10,000 straight away, but the key is to build an email list with these techniques as that is where the money is.

I don’t think the $100,000 she showed in the webinar necessarily came off of this product in particular. It may have come from another product she affiliated or even a product she created herself.
Remember, in the webinar, she said the strategy can be used to promote affiliate products or even products you create. Products you create tend to earn you more simply because you don’t have to share profits with anyone.
I believed there was a question asked if this method could be applied to traditional brick and mortar stores. She said yes.
What Brittany is showing is her ability to funnel traffic to a list and make money through that system. It’s the system that’s allowing her to make anywhere from $10,000 to over $200,000 in a month.
Great webinar Matt.
How does Brittany get fans to opt-in? Does she offer a free digital product?

Hey Matt,
I didn’t know how else to get your attention, i just wanted to bring something to your attention. Your free theme “internet marketing theme” is not functioning well, the ad space to the top right is not functioning right. Please please reply to let me know if you are going to fix it so i can re-download it again. Please please help.

Hi David, best to use another theme then, as I don’t support my free products.

I noticed in one if her examples she showed 2 tables, one showing her FB stats and one showing her commission stats, the FB stats show only 59 clicks and her commission stats shows she made $9000 from it, I do not understand how this was possible..
I would love to get into this myself but at $497 I can’t afford it and to be using paid traffic and only having about $30 spare to spend a month I can’t see me making much money at all.. What would your advice be on my situation?
Thanks

Hey James
Brittany here. I’d suggest that you try and get started on your own…one of the big take aways from the webinar is really that you need three things to make money online 1) something to sell 2) somewhere to sell it and 3) a way to make repeat sales i.e a system – I find the best way to do that is by building a mailing list.
Using Facebook pages is a great way to build a website quickly and you can find something to sell on clickbank or amazon although I still prefer to sell my own products. You can use Facebook traffic or if you want you can also do seo for your fan page although I’ll admit I don’t use seo myself..try and focus on building a list in a niche you really have a lot of passion for. I think this is key..I find the people that are the most successful are the people who are building businesses in a niche that they really enjoy..it makes the work that much easier to get through and it really shows through when you’re communicating to your list if you really like what you’re talking about. Makes a huge difference
Hope this helps
Brittany Lynch
I too watched this video with interest – and yes at points the sound was choppy. At one point in the video Brittany displaced a listing of her niches – so I spent quite some time checking them out on FB.
Here is a list of just some with the results I saw
Guitar training with Britt – a poster reported that her link was unsafe when you clicked on it – sure enough is was. Site start on 11 April – just over a week ago!
Guitar with Brittany Tatiana started 1 February – unsafe link
Guitar made easy with Britt, 22 March – unsafe link
Learn to play guitar with Britt 22 March – unsafe link
Sell your soap – 06/12/2010 disabled URL link
Beekeep disabled URL
Sell your candles 07/12/2010 – only 1 post!!!
learn to knit with Brittany Tatiana 09/10/2011 only 1 link to an Amazon book
With this (extremely poor) track record I cannot see how she is making $1000 per month let alone the figures claimed in the video.
Anyone else care to comment?

Hey Guys
Brittany Lynch here. Just thought I’d pipe up and clarify some of the questions and comments here.
The Facebook fan page you are looking at contains dozens and dozens of Facebook fan pages that were used as examples to demonstrate how to build a fan page. As you saw from the webinar that I did with Matt – I built an example fan page in front of you guys..I have done this on several different occasions, built fan pages on these webinars to show how it’s done (hence why there are SO many on guitar). So that’s why you see such little activity on most of those fan pages 🙂 The fan pages that I use to make money are shown in the video training!
Hope this helps clarify!
Brittany
Thanks for the great webinar Matt.
Further my previous message:
Following the course method step by step without any knwledge in internet business.
My new site was online about 5 30 pm, at 630 it rated 445 connections
Now stopped as the amount of investment (1Euro) was used (too fast) It reaches now 3696 audience!!
Unfortunatly the link clickbank =< facebook is considered as a "security warning" and block the direct linking.
So just a word = Bravo and thanks

In her example ‘Jewelry’ site this is what Facebook’s ‘Web of Trust’ says about Brittany’s link

Matt,
This seems far fetched. I have been doing paid advertising for a very long time, and to be honest I get pretty excited when I double my money, i.e. invest $2,000 get back to $4,000. For her to so casually ask who would like to invest $2,000 and get back $10,000 just doesn’t fly for me.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, but she makes it sound like it can happen in any niche, like clockwork.
Many times, paid advertising, can fail just as easy and cost you money, or produce very little profit.
I will confess, although I consider myself a paid search expert copy writer (writing for some of the biggest online merchants, in addition for my own stuff), I am yet to prove my skills on Facebook. With that said, I write this cautiously because I don’t want to offend anyone without the goods to back it up.
Nevertheless, I know what it takes to double your money with AdWords, and it’s not as easy as one may think, especially if you lack short copy writing skills.
I can’t imagine Facebook is so different that 500% profit is as easy as she claims. Maybe I’m wrong.
Moreover, many of her Facebook pages are blatant affiliate offers and I wonder how Facebook will react to that in the long term. A lot of paid platforms, as you know, frown on affiliate offers. It’s still possible, but it’s treading on thin ice.
I guess what put me on the defense is when she compared MailChimp to AWeber, and why AWeber was a better choice. As most affiliate marketers know, MailChimp simply does not permit affiliates. For her not to know that raises flags.
Believe me, I am not trying to take the wind out of your sales, there were many parts of the webinar I enjoyed, but I think Brittany needs to defend such a bold claim (i.e. 500% profit).
Any of us can pull in $10K a month with paid advertising, but to do it with a $2K budget is a tall order. If she can solidify this, my hat goes off, and I would happily invest in her knowledge.
Hope you’re willing to post this, and I hope she is willing to tune in and expand on it with some evidence.
Ross.

Hi Ross,
I am all for free speech and ofcourse I will publish this. OK so as for the claims of $2000 to make $10,000 I didn’t notice she even said that, I must have missed that, but sure it does sound a lot, but I don’t care so much as I’m cool with spending $1 and making $2, that’s a good goal for me with paid, even spending $1 and making $1.50 is cool. I think Brittany doesn’t use Mail Chimp, so that’s why she doesn;t know about the affiliate rules there, I didn’t even know that and use Mail Chimp for my Ecommerce store, so not everyone knows this, I didn’t know it. I just went over the 2nd module in her course and am in the process of setting up the system to collect leads for my niche, and I am excited about what she teaches as I can see this could work very well for building a list, as Adwords is tough going for list building, as the clicks are way too expensive and you can’t target as specifically as you can with Facebook, and not that many people are building lists with Facebook like Britanny teaches, so I think it is like the early days of Adwords where lots of succcessful IMers today literally bought their entire list from adwords before it got too hard to do. I’m following the course, but not doing direct affiliate offers myself, I am focussing hard core on list building, as that’s where the money is!
Regards
Matt

Matt, I thought this was a really good webinar. Thank you for sharing this free information.
Ross, I believe you misheard what Brittany said. You may want to take a look at the webinar again.
If you’ll notice at 56:47, Matt begins to ask Brittany about how she would compare her experience using Facebook Ads to her experience when she used to work in Google’s Adwords department as far as return on investment. She explains it.
Then she asks Matt, “So Matt, if I spent $2000 and I made $10,000, would that be a good exchange?”
Matt responded, “Yeah, Yeah. For sure.”
They both understood the principle behind a return on investment. You spend less than what you make. Spending $2000 to make $10,000 is a worthwhile investment to make a profit.
Nowhere in that webinar did Brittany indicate you were REQUIRED to spend $2,000 to make $10,000. Of course, it’s a tall order.
With Facebook Ads, you can start with as little as $1 a day, reinvest into advertising and scale your efforts up until you reach your goal.
You are correct about Mail Chimp does not allow you to promote affiliate products and MLMs. It’s in their TOS under General Rules, section F. You cannot assume Brittany doesn’t know what she’s talking about simply because she didn’t mention this fact. She may have forgotten, or she may not even know about it.
We have to be careful about misinterpreting people’s words because it can give others the wrong impression.
Ross Reply:

Gina,
The wrong impression?
Brittany alluded to investing $2K to get back $10K in the form of a question “more than once” during the webinar.
Matt’s blog attracts a lot of people new to this business, and having them believe 500% returns are easy… is not good on any front.
I didn’t misinterpret anything, I know exactly what she was doing.
This is a tough business that’s only getting tougher, and selling people pipe dreams bothers me… it should bother you too.
Ross.
I heartily agree with Ross. How can this lady make any money when he links don’t work? She needs to present herself here and explain why her system truly works and why it’s worth $497.

yes you have at least got that bit right Matt!
It’s comforting to know that you check these products out thoroughly before you promote them to us – as you rightly say in your preamble to this webinar “When I put on a webinar I make sure it’s value for my customer. I don’t waste my time with marketers that produce garbage or junk…”
Brittany says that she thinks it’s important to ‘create a relationship and build trust’ with her customers.
The way she does that is to put an unsafe link on all her websites!
Of course the other way Brittany makes money is to
Create a fan page on FB
Spend money driving traffic to it
Then present that traffic with a link going nowhere..
Having built lots of trust you then email them 12 times – they buy in their droves because they trust you and are completely bowled over by the 5 (or less) posts that you have put up!
WOW! Can’t wait to get this one….

As you well know I not only watched this video but I watched in great detail!
You claim to be “All for free speech” so why have all my posts been removed?
This product is highly suspect and it is hypocritical of you to remove comments that might stop people buying something that has a low probability of working.
You are a disappointment to this industry Matt

Hey Guys
Brittany here – Matt’s right – he just sent me an email to mention the blog had a few comments on it. Thanks for letting me know Matt as I wasn’t aware that there was a blog going on.
As Matt mentioned the money is in the list and in my training course I talk about how important it is to build your mailing list..that’s where the most amount of money is generated.
You mention posting unsafe links on Facebook and I hear ya..unfortunately because the webinar that I did with Matt was so short I can’t get into all of the nitty gritty technical details on how to post links on the page without getting that sort of notification ( there are ways around getting that notification because the reality is it IS a safe link as I make sure that I don’t promote products that aren’t actually good and well reviewed by me). So the links aren’t unsafe- that is just a warning to Facebook users that Facebook has put there and the warning basically generalizes all out bound links because unfortunately there is a lot of spam on Facebook. I don’t condone spam and I definitely don’t teach people to spam their fan page!!
Again in my training I go into depth on promoting the product you create first before promoting affiliate offers and IF you are going to promote affiliate offers to try and build your mailing list first then direct that traffic to an affiliate offer..not the other way around.
Most of the money that is made in this course is made from building the mailing list, building a relationship with that list and then promoting HIGH quality products to that list. Like I said on the webinar, it’s a value exchange..you need to give good value to your mailing list before trying to sell something.
Hopefully this helps clears things up
Brittany
Thanks, Matt for another interesting webinar. If nothing else, sharing the success of others is certainly motivational.
Thanks for the video, it was very useful!
The webinar clearly promoted the use of clickbank products. In fact the first hour is devoted to niche research including a slide which clearly says ‘Are there clickbank products?’ (20 minutes in)
A number of commentators have made the point (including me) that Brittany’s links appear to be deemed ‘unsafe’ by Facebook.
In her example ‘Jewelry’ site this is what Facebook’s ‘Web of Trust’ says about Brittany’s link
http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/aa9c3yu-uyldcn0aslg83uuwn9.hop.clickbank.net
The over-riding comment is;
“This subdomain inherits the reputation of hop.clickbank.net. Leave your rating for a separate reputation.”
So, should Brittany have known this before she proposed the products she did?
Is the rest of this presentation now discredited?
Matt says that the main thrust of this technique is to generate a mailing list. So why did the jewelry site example not develop that point?
If Brittany’s aim is to develop a relationship based on trust so that she can email them repeatedly why is she linking to a website which has a poor reputation?
Ray
Brittany Reply:

Hey Ray
Again just piping in here because I see there are a lot of comments on the links being unsafe. I really want to clarify that Facebook is posting that message about the link being unsafe as a generalization..because there is a lot of spam out there on Facebook. The actual website is not unsafe!
As someone mentioned below a good way around avoiding that message is by setting up a redirect through your own website. Actually showing that on the webinar would take about 15 minutes or so so I don’t go into that.. and I do mention that if I’m going to work with this page to make it profitable that I’m going to go back and review the product first!
If you’re looking to make money using this strategy I would suggest that you add an optin page to your fan page as building your mailing list is really the best way to go about building a long term sustainable income online, in whatever niche you decide to go into
Take care
Brittany
Hi Matt, Great webinar thanks for sharing. Afther reading some post, i went and watch the replay because i mist a few of the question that were asked. But i enjoy her preseatation and she did a put on a good webinar. With her training and great helpful tips for building a list. Is the personal review stiil available with the purchase. Thanks Dennis.
I watched the webinar and also watched some other stuff Brittany Lynch does to promote her IM training business. I also watched the videos from the original WSO that was done some time back.
I can tell you for sure without a doubt that no one and I mean no one can earn $10,000 per month out of the gate doing Facebook ads with the amount of spend that is suggested.
Further, if you look at her current facebook pages that promote clickbank products, the affiliate links are broken.
Sounds good, but something’s stinky.
I have not heard good things about her in terms of how credible her claims are, but I have not done her course either so I won’t comment on that.
I watched the webinar fully. Have you guys ever considered that maybe a large portion of that $200k/month she makes is by selling her $500 courses on these webinars!
Let’s assume 100 of Matts subscribers bought her course, that’s a nice $2,500 to her for 2 hours work! Then what about the other 50 webinars she does? That makes 50 x $2500, a nice $125K for 100 hours work. It is no wonder she said she is always travelling!
Don’t get sucked into these kind of over-inflated sales pitches! There is nothing wrong with selling yourself during a webinar but claiming to make $200k/month from the course is complete garbage. I would not be surprised if she worked for Google for only 1 week and has been riding it ever since!
I really doubt Matt is going to approve this comment, and this is in no way a dig at Matt, Matt is one of the few people who produce great marketing courses, and is HONEST in what he says!
I’m slowly integrating social networking sites such as facebook for my overall marking strategy. I’m not sure which way i’m going to go with it, but the webinar was worth checking out.
Hey thanks for the great webinar on FaceBook training. I try to get all of the experts tricks and angles on FaceBook Marketing that I can get. This was a great help.
Hi Matt,
Nice webinar and good enough content to launch this on your own without purchasing.
I think the strategy is a good alternative to the mess Google has us in right now.
Just a heads up…
Some clickbank product links are being blocked as a security risk by facebook. To avoid this entirely, you can set up a redirect through your own website. I wouldn’t recommend using a url shortener.
And, if you want to do the math….
Just figure that 100 likes = 1 sale approx.
Also figure your CB commission will be $20 per sale.
GOAL: $10,000 per month.
NEED: 500 sales per month.
NEED: 50,000 Likes (wow, that’s a lot of likes for a page about knitting)
Timeframe: Well, a $5 daily ppc budget at $0.15 cpc will get you about 33 clicks a day. Say everyone who clicks the ad Likes the page.
You need 1,515 days to get to 50,000 Likes. Or, 4.15 years.
Is this realistic? I know the list building is important, but not all niches lend well to email responders.
Takeaways?
Don’t overestimate your markets. Ramp things up asap. Reinvest. Increase daily spend to speed up.
I bought the coarse with up sells looks interesting going to do it exactly as she mentions her support and coarse seem pretty good and clear but it is early days I have learnt new things already, I wont tell you the things she teaches as this is up to you to purchase I will give you an honest opinion of my efforts,
Hi Matt.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for the webinar, it was a little difficult concentrating at around 3am but I have since watched it again twice.
I thought it was great to get some insight into using facebook, and I will certainly try a few things out, all be it on a small scale.
By the way Matt, you do a great job teaching and inspiring people in the IM niche, so just wanted to say thanks. I am just starting out and hope that I will be able to emulate you in some small way.
Hi Matt,
There’s a lot to take away from this webinar even if you don’t purchase! Good solid info that’s worth focusing on the most more than anything else. Really enjoy what you put out Matt, keep it coming.
Matt,
can you comment soon on the recent Penguin changes and how this relates to SEO and your facebook strategy? I am sure you have noticed the impact of this and I am very curious to get your take on it. Thanks!!
Hi, I just wanted to know that I really love your blog. I get so much valuable free information from it that I follow it through my blog’s rss feed. I also learned a lot from the webinar. So far, I’ve watched it twice. Thanks for all your hard work.
I actually liked her presentation and think it’s the way to go. Especially as Google is making it much harder to rank after the recent changes. I’ll be buying into the course soon.
Hi Matt,
this webinar can provide all of us with valuable information because we really still have some problems in using Facebook as an effective method for marketing strategies. thank you so much
Hello.
Matt was my favorite Affiliate marketer and I learned a lot of him. But I said was!!! I don’t understand why he involved in such crap. I’m very disappointing. Maybe I’m wrong about this Facebook Niche Marketing, but its sounds good to be true! I hope somebody who purchased this will share experience!
Thanks
Martin (LV)
P.S. But I’m happy with video Commissions Formula. Thanks Matt
